No, you can't bury a Conex without reinforcement of the sides and roof. If you bury a Conex without reinforcing the sides and top the Conex sides and top will deflect (bulge inwards/downwards). Be advised: Structural failure is a possibility.
All Mobil-Mini Conex's are inspected for having a weather-tight seal on the doors and only cosmetic scratches routinely acquired during their prior product-moving usage.
On the standard Conex's, security consists of your using heavy padlocks on the doors. Be advised: a determined thief , given sufficient time, can get past exposed padlocks.
On the Conex's with the proprietary Mobil-Mini doors, you get heavier steel doors that have heavy steel protection covers protecting the padlocks. Breaching this level of security will require a cutting torch.

The Mobil-Mini Conex's fabricated to be an office have heat, Air-conditioning, a kitchenette and flush commode. Install yourself a shower and an on-demand water heater, creates a very nice home away from home.
